Fire Erases History

Piece of history eaten alive by flames...
May be a little too late to be blogging on the fire at Sarawak Club that happened on Thursday but it's no harm to just blog! Read Thursday's Borneo Post newspaper to get everything in absolute detail. When my mom sent me to school that day, we saw the road being closed and at first we didn't know that Sarawak Club burnt down. We thought it was just a police inspection. When I arrived at school, Lilian was shouting that Sarawak Club burnt down. Turns out that it was caused by a gas explosion at the kitchen that sparked the fire at 3.30am. Since the club was built of of 60% wood, it was no surprise that nearly everything was gone including the roof. Even the games room got a little scorched. The pool, tennis court, basketball court and carpark were untouched. Now, I wonder where would our St. Teresa prefects' dinner be held at. It was originally supposed to be held at Sarawak Club but clearly, we were not going to be sitting on a pile of ashes and eating our dinner on the 18th of August.
