Missions and moments

How I love and miss wearing those blue pinafores!

Missions to accomplish for the year 2008:
1. Know about Islamic history as well as the back of my hand.
This means reading more of my history textbooks. Maybe I should just memorize the al-Quran? I swear history taught in school would be so much easier and more enjoyable for me if it was taught in English.

2. Send digital text messages way less.
I sent 8000 digital text messages in one of the months this year and hence, my poor and faithful W850i would probably be dead very, very, very soon. Poor chap, as good as dead now. DIGI would probably thank me for doing such good business with them. Strangely, those 8000 digital text messages only cost me RM20.00. Told you DIGI loved me as their loyal customer!

3. Procrastinate less from studying and doing homework.
I shall be a good, innocent, angelic, hardworking student this year (chokes to death). Hey, it will benefit me after all. They do say that nothing is free and hence, I translate that as success will not come free if you procrastinate unless you got a lot of cash to bribe the school or university to give you graduation slips.

4. Master the art of driving.
I watched Tokyo Drift again few hours ago and I thought, "oh cool, let driving be in my 2008 missions list too!" I bet I would pop a few eyes if I could drive like those maniacs in Tokyo Drift and probably earn myself a one way ticket to my death too. God would clap me on the back and throw me to the pits of doom for indirectly committing suicide. (Unless I repent of course)

5. Enjoy school life as a normal student (non prefect) for once in more than half a decade.
I was a prefect in Primary 5, Primary 6, Form 1, Form 2, Form 3, Form 4 and I will still be a prefect next year in Form 5 too. When am I ever going to get a chance to wear those blue pinafores again?? They are so comfortable. Can't wait for July to retire as a prefect and spend some quality time as a normal student.

6. Continue to make more personal achievements in academics, co-curricular and so forth.
Everyone loves shiny plagues, crisp certificates, a grade card to stare at in awe. I know I certainly do. The more, the merrier. My trophy cabinet would be so pleased, so would my family and most importantly, so would I.

7. Eat more pork.
I never quite like pork but they said that eating pork makes the brain smarter. How true is that? I will eat more pork to experiment. That is also if, I actually decide I like pork.

Best moments in 2007 to be all nostalgic about:
1. My personal achievements that covers academics, co-curricular and so forth.
I was a little nobody in junior secondary (post-less) but suddenly in senior secondary last year, bang! I was elected as treasurer for Red Crescent, president for Literature and Debating Society and Head Prefect. Quite a blow. I went for many Red Crescent activities and those really taught me a lot about many things. I got five awards at the Prize Giving Ceremony last year, the most I have ever gotten after so many years in secondary school. I finally got the guts to change my glasses to half-framed pairs and also cut fringe early this year.

2. Meeting various very, very, interesting people. (Life changing, I swear!!!)

I met different individuals through various activities of both genders but I am only going to mention a few because there are too many! There's Gwendoline Sim who eats corn but not vegetables and hence, she taught me that corn were not part of the vegetable group. There's Jonathan Chin who owns a diamond ring and hence, he completely changed my perspective that diamonds are a girl's best friend. There's Valentine Tedong who is probably one of the greatest (?) aerobics master (as we call him) around. There's Perry Tan who... let's just say turned my life upside down, interesting and chaotic.

3. My first time ever going to the Red Crescent Annual Gathering Camp.

This one kinds of goes under 'personal achievements' but I decided that this was really one great memory to treasure since there area so many interesting things to remember. I met lots of interesting people, watched all of them have fun mingling, joined the War Game, witness the Scouts doing stupid antics at their Scouts Camp and probably slow danced the first time in my whole life!

4. Stupid surveys that Rhema and I cook up in class.
We concocted really ridiculous surveys such as "Is Belachan the same as Sambal?" or "Do you pee facing the door or facing the wall" and I guess there are probably more but these two surveys stand out the most in my mind.

5. Practically everything else there is in 2007, the good, bad or ugly.
This post would stretch a mile and tire brains and eye muscles if I am to type everything out.

The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt with the heart -- Helen Keller

New Year's Eve

Monsters posing for the camera. I don't know what pose that is. I assume it's rasa-superhero and at the same time, flipping off the cameraman. Kids nowadays *shakes head*. I think this is an 'excellent' photo to go with this post. End of another year AGAIN. I am almost two decades old. Such a year to sit down at the tennis courts and be all nostalgic about it. Or is that just a waste of time? What a New Year's Eve indeed.
Let next year be a prosperous year where we get more new handphones and more pocket money and more A's in our exams. Oh and a year where Jonas gets a Samantha too so his life is almost complete? (PS: He wouldn't let me upload the photo of both of them because he was too SHY)

Brain damage

The thought of school reopening just this Thursday are starting to cause serious damage to my brain cells.

I find it rather impressive that I automatically woke at 7.30am today. I beat the alarm clock! I think the pons in my brain stem have overworked. Either that or perhaps the old cogs in my brain had just finally started gearing up in preparation for school reopen. Horror.

I burnt the toast for breakfast this morning and the expresso I made was far too diluted. Chucked both the toast and expresso down the drain.

I had a rather amusing dream this morning. (Somehow I am very certain I had this dream around 6.00am). First of all, allow me to introduce the characters in the dream. Stefan Lim is 164cm tall (I beat Stefan!!! I am 168cm!). Bruce Wong is probably 175cm tall (why can't girls be taller than guys?! That is just so unfair, double standard!), practically double of Stefan vertically but I am not sure about horizontally. Mr. James Chen was my Additional Mathematics tuition teacher. My mum is well, my mum. Perry Tan is just a random human being.

Stefan bashed Bruce up at SMK. St. Joseph and successfully took him out with just two punches aimed at the eyes. A stretcher was brought to transport Bruce but strangely, it was Stefan who brought the stretcher from SMK. St. Teresa (shouldn't my brain be smart enough to know St. Joseph has their own clinic for the Red Crescent??) together with a few paramedics (or were they scouts?). Who bashes up people and then brings a stretcher? Anyway, the strange part was that Bruce got up and carried the stretcher too, an empty stretcher. In that dream, Mr. James was leading a scouts troop. Seriously, that man is more likely to measure diameters of cola cans rather than go hiking. In there, I text messaged Perry about the bash-up (ironically I do text message too much in reality, 8000 digital messages a month and in this dream, I just had to text message too. Sheesh.) In that dream, my mum was present too. What the heck, my brain cells are seriously overly damaged. It is the freakiest of all to have Stefan Lim in it.

My brain cells are so damaged.

Class is a battlefield

My new pair of spectacles.

Three out of four years spent in secondary school, I had always ended up at the last row in the classroom. The question is why? The answer is not because I am extraordinary tall that I get shoved to the back (there are others who gladly boast that they are taller than me) or because I talk too much that I get shoved to the back or because I adore sitting at the back. But, it is because no matter how early I come to school on the first day when school reopens to grab a good seat somewhere in the middle of the classroom, the class would always be packed by 6.30am or either books and bottles are thrown all over the tables as signs that those seats are reserved. The only front-row seats I get are in the laboratories. Hence, this year I shall reach school before 6.15am.

Dang, I want a seat at the third row and hence I shall come up with a strategy to conquer those seats. The class is such a battlefield for seats and exam positions.

The history of how I got my seats in the classroom for the past four years...

Form 1
I got 4A's and 1B for UPSR and hence, I was shoved into 1A2. Plenty of space, so I sat at the third row. Next day, I was promoted to 1A1 and there was an empty space at the second row. Behind me was Rhema Basil Andrews (that was how I got to know that fellow). Then, mega seat switching by our class teacher and Rhema ended up at the back of the class. After a few months of boredom, I willingly swapped seats with Sharifah to sit with Rhema. That was the story of how I ended up at the back seats in Form 1.

Form 2
Rhema and I came into 2A1 class after a prefects' briefing after assembly and to our greatest 'thrill', all the seats were taken except for the last two corner seats at the back of the classroom. Thrilling.

Form 3
For once, Rhema and I did not get back row seats in 3A1 because Michelle Wei 'miraculously' and accidentally came to school around 5.45am, so we got third row seats. Such a great year to be directly under the fan, getting great ventilation. Ventilation is great for the brain as it provides good Feng-Shui.

Form 4
Rhema and I came to school at 6.30am and at 6.30am, the whole 4 Science 1 classroom was packed and seats were taken except for the last two corner back row seats next to the classroom door. History has repeated itself. Brilliant.

Automotive aerodynamics observations

Here is an automotive rant post that was concocted out of sheer limited knowledge on automotive engineering and basic aerodynamics after a few months-old observation on average Proton saloon cars that roam the roads of Malaysia at an average speed of 60-70km/h.
That, I hope I am not wrong, is a rear spoiler. Serves to increase downward force based on the theory of aerodynamics resistance which, was first observed by smarties like Aristotle and Galileo Galilei and first developed by Isaac Newton.

I was sitting in the back of the car a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't help but notice the craze in young car owners who get rear spoilers assembled on their Proton cars. Rear spoilers cost perhaps a hundred dollars in U.S currency (not too sure, I am no car fan, I prefer to know about automotive aerodynamics than car modifications). Which, is approximately RM300 when converted to Malaysian currency. However, I suppose it also depends on the size, material and all that. It varies after all. I will not touch much on that as I have very limited knowledge on that topic.

Nevertheless, spoilers were invented to be assembled on high-performance sports cars. In layman terms, spoilers were not invented for your average Proton Saga, Proton Wira and so forth. Of course, if I am not mistaken the original design of a few saloon Proton cars have small spoilers as part of their designs to improve aerodynamics. The car was initially already designed to be stable. Modifying your average Proton saloon car by assembling a spoiler with a greater aspect ratio, you are basically increasing the downward force on the car. Hence, increasing friction and tract between the tires of the car and the surface of the road. In terms of "I assembled a rear spoiler to increase stability", highly unnecessary. There isn't enough lift force on a original, non-modified Proton saloon car that could cause it to be lifted up into the air and spun around. Think of the original downward force of the Proton saloon without any spoilers, it will take the application of hydraulics to spin the car around but still, it isn't going to stay airborne.

Seriously, an average Proton saloon travels at a speed of perhaps 60km/h and with the addition of a spoiler to increase the drag force, scientifically, more force will be needed to overcome the drag force. Some assemble spoilers on their Proton saloon car as part of 'decoration' but truth is, they are probably making the aerodynamics worse. This is because the spoiler is designed and engineered to "spoil" the airflow over a moving vehicle, meaning to decrease lift. Hence, skip the idea of putting spoilers on your Proton saloons unless you intend to start drifting. A spoiler for the price of a few hundreds and driving at the speed or 60km/h is just not worth the buy.

Now that (points at picture below) I like and probably (or certainly) would never own unless God makes me a billionaire. Where do I get one with a price tag that isn't 55,000 in US dollars that I can afford with my monthly allowance and that isn't a model set from the local toy store?

If and only if

Is suicide an option when dealing with stress from school?
Then again, I still haven't marry an old millionaire, hog his money and then drown him in his bathtub. I am too young to die.

School starts this coming Thursday, that means that I will only get to have lunch at 2.30pm since school ends at 1.15pm and with all that traffic on the way home, I would be simply euphoric if I get to reach home by 2.00pm. Normally, I would prefer to have lunch around 1.00pm.

If and only if we were given lunch breaks in school, I wouldn't get grumbling from my stomach.

The start of school this coming Thursday also means that I will only get to have less than six hours of sleep everyday. I might look like a raccoon by 31st December 2008 (saves money on heavy eyeliner, unfortunately I don't fancy the need for that). I realize that I hate going to bed but then, I also hate waking up from bed. What am I, weird or what?

If and only if school starts at office hours, I wouldn't look so raccoon-ish.

Nevertheless, I think I am starting to look forward towards this coming Thursday and at the same time, I am not looking forward to it too.

PS: Esther Ling was the best option Wendy Chan and I could find to point our fingers to. Irene Pung makes a great photographer.

Boulevard, Playboy

I went to Boulevard yesterday. I got decided to do a review about it in just five words.
BLOODY
LOUSY
JUST

LIKE

DUNG

Yup, that was my review about the latest shopping mall in Kuching. Full of Ah Bengs and Ah Liens just like one million fat sardines squashed vividly in a soup can, I went once and I will never go again. I hope Spring (that will be opening soon in January) has better to offer. I don't know why but I just don't like Boulevard. -_-"
I went to the optician at Parkson Grand today and got a new pair of spectacles (bored of my forever frameless since Primary 5 many pairs of spectacles). Black and half-framed. My degree remains zero at the left eye (normal sight) and -3.25 at the right eye. Why are my eyes so retarded? I think I am the only fellow in the whole school to have eyes like that, I think lah. I think I maybe I watch too much television facing sideways without realizing...

Did I mention that I simply loathe playboy spectacles?

Borneo Post?

15 DECEMBER 2007- A student of SMK. St. Joseph Kuching was found unconscious around 10.00pm in front of the indoor stadium at SMK. St. Joseph Kuching after being knocked down by a speeding red Wira whose license plate and registration was not found. The student was identified as Adrian Lee from 4A. He was repeatedly poked and prodded by a few teams of trained First Aiders from the Red Crescent. The casualty was reported to suffer from a fractured rib and a fractured leg.

Merry Christmas!!!

Yeah, I know that is such an ironic post to do on a Christmas morning. Just did it for kicks after I got that Search and Rescue photo which, I had always wanted. Mind you, it is almost 4.00am now. I had a Christmas Eve dinner yesterday and attended midnight Christmas mass at Blessed Sacrament. Anyway, here's a rather nice and meaningful song (not very Christmassy though).

Air Asia to Kuala Lumpur

Arrived at Kuala Lumpur's Low Cost Terminal at 2.00pm on the 18th of December 2007, took the Air Asia. Have I mentioned that I despise Air Asia and the Low Cost Terminal? Nevertheless, it is cheaper compared to Malaysia Airlines. Had my breakfast on the plane, sandwiches and fruit juice. I guess the food price was rather average. The taxi driver missed out a turn and hence, took us a rather long time to get to the hotel, stayed at Cititel. Ran into a few people at Cititel, a few Malay friends, a fellow I recognized as Azree from RCYU#3 and Angela Lee with her family.
Central Market, the cheapest place to get an assortment of the strangest jewelry, bags and other bits of items. Best place to obtain a PHD in price bargaining. Cheap and interesting, who could resist stopping by such a place? Everybody loves cheap. I know I do.
Pavilion, what is so great about it?Designer, designer and designer. I'll have to marry a millionaire's son to be able to afford buying at least five items from any one of those designer shops. Everything there can burn holes through poor civilians' pockets. Nevertheless, my mum spent a hefty RM700 on a Perry Balmain bag in Parkson Grand. God, we could feed the whole Third World with that. Women. Shakes head. Anyway, so they gave my mum some scratch and win a Jaguar coupons. Then, when we were back in Kuching and my dad bought a stainless steel dish drainer, they gave my dad some scratch and win a Nissan coupsons! DOUBLE STANDARD! Why Kuala Lumpurites get Jaguars while Kuchingians get Nissans huh??
After some shopping at Pavilion, it was lunch time at some Chinese fusion dining restaurant on the topmost floor at Pavilion. Just look at how I hold the chopsticks, retarded. Some Chinese I make. I ordered a bowl of ramen soup and it was one ridiculously huge bowl of ramen. Obviously, I did not have a stomach large enough to finish more than a quarter of that. I don't know why but my dad seemed to love take photos of people eating.
Oh yeah, I stayed at Cititel. Daily breakfast ranged from either chocolate milk to two pieces of buttered toast and tea. The juice was just my dad's idea of trying to increase my daily consumption of Vitamin C. Some people really have hefty appetites early in the morning, they pile their plates high with croissants, toasts, eggs, rolls and you name it. Mount. Everest high stacks, mind you. Mid Valley becomes one of the closest sources of money-spending available as the hotel I sought refuge was only next door. Nothing great at Mid Valley, too small and too many people. I don't think I bought anything from there except flip flops and shorts. Got a really fat stuffed hippo for RM79.90. I had to get that Bruce a Christmas present simply because he demanded nonstop for one. Shakes head. Hence, I gave in and got a pig displaying its' large ass for that nuisance. Got my close friends some small items. The MNG sales assistant was screaming her head off from frustration due to the swarm of customers invading the fitting room. Poor her. There were lots of Christmassy activities at Mid Valley though.
Sunway Pyramid, not a bad place to shop at. Found a few pieces of clothing. Interesting architecture though and there's a nice Chinese fusion dining restaurant on one of the floors that has nice Sze Chuan eggplant. I like eggplants. The Gardens, another place that can burn holes in people's pockets. However, Isetan has a lot of interesting stuff. Bought quite a number of clothes from there and a pair of shoes from URS Inc. Some designer tops had ridiculously expensive price tags, RM400 for a T-shirt, seriously even if I had the money, I wouldn't buy a T-shirt for RM400 not even if it Marc Jacobs. NEVER!!! Anyway, all that splurging at Isetan had entitled my mum and I to redeem fresh water pearls. Probably a sales gimmick anyway. Probably fake pearls. I mean, the oysters looked so dead. That reminds me, mussels at Manhattan's is nice.

Went to Ikea too, bought a few household items and I spent RM5 on a new clock for the school sickroom. I saw the ugliest stuffed dragon there for RM39 (someone thinks it is CUTE, gags). Went to a few other places in Kuala Lumpur, basically to shop. I calculated my overall bill and to my discovery four tops, one denim skirt, one pair of jeans, two flip flops, a pair of shoes, four shorts, two bags, four bangles, eight books (those books totalled up to about RM200, the Nicholas Spark books were on a promotion and hence, c-h-e-a-p and so were the vintage classics) and a stuffed animal totaled up to RM1200.00 or so (which is below the budget of RM1500) and hence, congratulations to me. I burned RM164.00 from my own pocket on a pair of Billabong shorts. Sniffs. I hate Kuala Lumpur for that.

My flight back to Kuching, arrived 20 minutes earlier at Kuching International Airport! Amazing! It was AIR ASIA. I thought they always delayed...

Kuala Lumpur

First of all, why why why did my dad have to book such an early flight?? A 10.30am Air Asia flight. Only chickens fly at that hour. I complained to Perry about it and he claimed that 7.30am is an early flight whereas 10.30am is a late flight. Mercy mercy mercy, I only get up when I hear my neighbors' kuali(s) clanking, indicating that it is lunch hour and high time for me to crawl out of bed. Okay, I admit I am envious of those people who can get up as early as chickens without even having to set an alarm clock. I guess it is in their blood to do so.

I have not studied for six god-forsaken days. I guess I am suppose to pay back those days of enjoyment spent at camp, running amok like a brain-diseased fellow. Easier said than done anyway. I shall pack my beloved (I try to psycho myself to love it as much as possible) History textbook with me to Kuala Lumpur. Then I shall read it in the plane, an attempt to look angelic and studious. Also as an excuse to avoid chitchatting with any annoying little old ladies who end up sitting next to me. @%$# Air Asia for their free-seating rule.

I got a mental shopping list unfurling itself in my mind currently. I especially want new flip flops. My bloody Body Glove flip flops gave me four bloody blisters on my feet (no thanks to RCYU#3 which ran out of plasters until I had to dress my blisters up with gauze and roller bandages) and at least Chan was nice enough to lend me his Billabong flip flops for the rest of camp (after boasting about how Billabong rocks). I think I am starting to agree with Ashley Lee on his opinion about Body Glove. Burn those bloody flip flops that burned RM22.00 from my wallet.

Anyway, I hate packing and I best be doing some last minute packing now.

Annual Gathering Camp 2007

ANNUAL GATHERING CUM ENJOYMENT CAMP 2007
organized by
Red Crescent Youth Unit #3

I joined the Red Crescent Annual Gathering Camp 2007 on the 10th of December to 14th of December as a camp committee. Fun. Technically my first time at AGC because I had never joined it as a participant before. It was a 5 day and 4 night camp. I stayed over only for 3 nights. Slept in the AVA room on the benches, freezing cold like freezer in there and when I woke up, I feel like frozen fish. The benches were so small that you can't even turn over without falling off it. Comfy eh? SO NOT. Anyway, that Theodore Abel below.Hmmm...?
Bruce Wong, someone who looks a lot like Cornelius Ng and Stefan Lim

The scouts were like this before Red Crescent people started pouring into SMK. St. Joseph. Apparently, the scouts just love feeding the mosquitoes that's why they go about without shirts or maybe it's just because they want to show off their bodies. Fishy.

Day 1Registration and bag-checking for illegal itemsGroup introduction by one of the groups. There were 8 groups in camp.
One of the groups, Broken Glass with Jacky Chai holding up their flag.
An introduction to part of the AGC security group, Gavin Yap, Adrain Lee and someone. Err... that's basically what they do, gamble...Look at those beastly scouts... No idea who they are anyway. One of the scouts 'refugee shelters'...One of the stations at telematch. That's Jude Lim looking all victorious.

Dropped by SMK. St. Joseph early morning. It was registration, opening ceremony then Ice Breaking. Later there was some outdoor games, telematch and there was a game where the participants started throwing bottles, ping pong balls and water balloons around the place (Aaron Chan's so call reinvention of the original game). Bumped into a few fellow scouts, the scouts were having their year-end camp at SMK. St. Joseph too. I notice their daily diet at camp seemed to be instant noodles and boiled eggs. They gamble a lot too. Some scouts eh? One of their tents looked really comfortable, a piece of canvas propped on a stick and with a few benches under it. Stefan pointed a toy gun into my face and cried out, "just testing". Mental. I went home at 5.00pm that day.

Day 2
Theodore Abel, the biggest boss at AGC.Part of the obstacle course that the scouts built.
Adrain Lee and Ho Tze Yung don't know doing what.Jacky's very 'unique' char kueh tiao.Adrain impatient for food, Brandon scratching his neck, Pauline behind the plate, Ellie staring.

They had their obstacle course that morning. The scouts build the whole obstacle course. Lots of mud. Very interesting. Poor Red Crescent participants though, they were extremely filthy. Maybe the scouts enjoyed watching them go through the torture? Plenty of minor injuries. Were the scouts trying to kill the Red Crescent members?? First Aid crash course after that by Chan Yee Hon. He's really good. There was SAR that night, (Search and Rescue). The scene was an accident. The casualties were Adrain Lee, Gavin Yap, Rowena and Ho Tze Yung. Can't really recalled their exact injuries. Adrain was lying under a car with a fractured rib and leg, Rowena had a vertical cut on her palm, Gavin had a sprained ankle and something else and Tze Yung had a scalp injury. SAR ended about 1.00am. It was amusing watching people treat Adrain. There was once when he got dragged about like a rag doll. The poor guy or wait...was he lucky to have so many female First Aiders laying hands on him? Hmmm... I wonder how Scouts slept through the noise. I camped overnight at the AVA room.

Day 3Theodore Abel and Aaron Marcel as one of the judges for the Cooking Competition.
Ian a.k.a 'Gorgeous Ian' posing for the camera.During the catapult competition. My pink Nike jacket makes me stand out like a beacon in the crowd.

Woke up like frozen fish. Shivered. Took a cold bath. Shivered even more. Watched their morning 'lapor diri', flag rising, Red Crescent song, morning stretching. For the first time I saw Theo leaping around the place like mad during the morning aerobics. Quite a sight I must say. Then it was some indoor games and a Quiz Bee using Skittles to keep scores. Chan came up with all the questions, rather strange questions too. That night it was a cooking competition. Must say that they all can cook pretty well especially Everad's group. I know quite a number of them borrowed stuff from the scouts. That night they had some more indoor games, a catapult invention game. Then I went up to bed early at about 11.00pm.

Day 4At one of the stations during the Big Game Hunt around town, Justin Sing leading one of his members.Last day for the scouts at their Year-End camp. Bryan Janting, someone, Jonathan Lee and someone again.'Supplies' for the War Game.During the War Game.Bryan Melvin, Jude Lim and I during the performances. My shirt says 'NO PAIN' over and over again.
One of the performances lead by Ian Kho. It's a robot dance I think.
Random snapshot during the slow dance. Ting Kah Seng and Jalfynna. Therese Law in the background.

Woke up like frozen fish once again at 6.00am. Had a packet of Famous Amos from Perry, that was my breakfast. Pecan butterscotch cookies, nice. Followed the participants around town for the Big Game Hunt. Walked on foot, mind you. That evening, I got to join the war game. It was a game where you had to run around a muddy field, with coloured water and flour mix on your hand and smack your hand on someone's back. So there I was running amok. Fun. Not so fun when you realize the toilet ran out of water to bath. So I had to wash my hair at the surau and then carried a pail of water from the surau to the toilet. It was tough job washing the flour off especially when Daniel Loo purposely put that muck into my hair. Not to forget I got rashes from the mud. Thank God it disappeared hours later. That night, there were sketches, performances, a barbecue and slow dance. Not telling who I danced with anyway. Slept at 5.35am. Some of the committee ordered McDonald's for breakfast/supper. Some of them slept in the canteen but I decided to drag my feet up to the AVA room and plop onto one of the couches there. Snores. The AVA room seriously isn't comfortable to sleep in. Too cold and the chairs are so small that you can't even turn over when you sleep without falling off it or waking up.

Day5Group photo of all the camp participants and camp committees.Signing of camp shirts amongst the campers. Someone signing Damien Dellon's arse.Last aerobics session lead by Aerobics Master *ahem ahem* Valentine Tedong.
Brandon Siong thrown into the pond...

Woke up. Last day of camp. Closing ceremony. Camp is over. I lost my voice, caught a cough and a flu. Chan's germs I bet. Camp was fun. Met lots of interesting people in camp. Got to witness some of the scouts' strange antics. Camp feels too short.

Aaron Chan with his hair styled by Gabrielle Jee.A mask that the AGC security people seem to carry about with them. I think that's Siraj Munir underneath the mask.

Notes:
1. Post camp reactions are never quite enjoyable especially when you lose your voice.
2. Getting dirty during camp is fun until you realize the toilet is out of water and you have to wash your hair at the surau.
3. Puzzled why Stefan speaks to me in Hokkien.
4. Promised to never sleep in AVA room again. Freezer. Rather sleep in the field.
5. Will love to try char kueh tiao by Jacky one day. Very strange char kueh tiao indeed.
6. Aaron Chan needs a haircut and I make a good hair stylist.
7. A round of thanks to Damien and Michael for the photos.
8. Some are so hyped over camp that they started a group blog, www.dayak-chinese-malay.blogspot.com

The quote from camp this year is: PLEASE LA HOR

Here's about the Scouts Camp. It's really uninteresting...
