Amy’s Request: So I Update

IMG_1589

So for the Independence holidays, my parents came over to Selangor to visit me. My luck started running dry on that day.

1) I locked my room keys, apartment keys, access card and mobile phones in my room. I had to wait for the warden to drive through the jam just to pass me a set of keys to open up my room to retrieve my own set of keys.

So I stayed at Coronade Hotel for three days and had char siew baos everyday for breakfast. It has been ages since I last had pork. Excuse me. I shopped in Times Square, KLCC, Pavilion, BB Plaza and Sungai Wang.

My parents dropped me back at Casa Subang on Monday afternoon. I had a lot of things to bring back up to my unit.

Then…bad luck struck again…

I stirred feeling nauseous on Monday morning 4.00AM. Ignored it, went to the toilet and nearly blacked out. First aider’s instincts kicked in *ahem* so I made myself a glass of concentrated glucose while focusing on trying not to spill anything because my whole body was shaking.

Then, I woke my roommate up, “I think I might faint.”

My roommate jumped up, “I make up a cup of hot milo!”

Then, she called the boys for help. One of them had a car.

Lat, Eric and her drove me to UM Hospital. The moment I reached the hospital, I threw up. I think some went over her feet. Sorry roommate. ^_^

They did a blood test. We had to wait for 2 hours. Said everything is clear and so I went back. My roommate accompanied me for the rest of the day while Lat and Eric went to college.

At night, I threw up again. Fever went on and off. They took me to Sunway Medical Centre this time. SMC gave me some drugs.

The next day, I started getting diarrhoea fifteen times and allergy symptoms started showing around my eyes. The wardens came to check on me and brought me back to SMC.

SMC concluded that I am allergic to the medications prescribed yesterday by the doctor at SMC. They told me to stop all the medication, continue only on panadol, my own dhamotil and piriton medications and ORS to rehydrate. First, they accidentally billed me RM119.00 and then realized their mistake. So they billed me RM33.00.

This is the first time I had an allergy reaction to a drug other than from the NSAID family. Thank goodness my breathing airway didn’t swell up this time.

I was on MC for three days including today. This feels like house arrest.
